Cosmetic grade clay

Updated: Aug 28, 2023

Ah the world of clay….I love it.

The use of clay as a beauty product is as old as humankind. The first written reference known to exist was the use of "stones" and a description of their mineral benefits that dates to Rome (60 BC). Throughout history clay has been used topically to sooth the skin or internally for medicinal purposes.

I try to incorporate clay into most of my soaps for different reasons as they all have different qualities. Some of the clays I use is: Rhassoul clay, French green clay, French yellow clay, Rose clay, Kaolin clay and Red clay.

This beautiful soap bar here is our very popular Rose clay & charcoal soap. I chose to use rose clay because its gentle, great for dry mature or sensitive skin, it will draw impurities from the skin, absorbs excess oil and leave the skin feeling incredibly soft. It also cleans and rejuvenates skin’s surface by removing dead skin. Promotes healing of skin and abrasions or blemishes.

Pairing this beauty with our hydrating face cream is a no brainer. The rosehip and jojoba oil as some of the ingredients will restore skin moisture and locks it in for a radiant look and feel.
