There’s something so comforting about opening a drawer or wardrobe and being greeted by a soft, botanical scent — like a little reminder that even the small corners of our home can hold beauty and intention.

At Serendipity Soaps & Skincare, we’ve always been inspired by the way nature cares for itself. How herbs deter pests, how citrus freshens the air, and how a handful of dried botanicals can transform a space. So we started thinking… why not bring that into the places where we store our clothes and linens?

🌸 A Gentle Alternative to Synthetic Scents

Many conventional wardrobe or drawer fresheners rely on artificial fragrances and camphor — ingredients that can be overwhelming, irritating to sensitive noses, or even harmful to fabrics over time. We wanted something simpler, cleaner, and more in tune with the kind of living we value.

Natural waxes like sunflower and rice bran wax offered the perfect base — firm, plant-based, and beautifully neutral. To that, we added a blend of dried herbs and botanicals for their subtle earthy presence, and a selection of essential oils known not just for their beautiful aromas, but their natural deodorising and insect-repelling properties.

The result is a calming mix of nutmeg, clove, lemon tea tree, geranium, and tangerine — warm, fresh, and quietly uplifting.

🌱 Little Rituals, Big Impact

Something as simple as placing a natural freshener disc in your wardrobe can become a tiny ritual of care — not just for your clothes, but for your space. It’s a way to bring a bit of the outside world in, to let nature do what it does best.

These discs last several months and can be refreshed with a drop or two of essential oil when needed. There’s no waste, no plastic, and no harsh ingredients — just a simple, handmade object doing a quiet, lovely job.

🧺 A Natural Option, If You’re Looking For One

If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, we’ve started making these freshener blocks in small batches and offering them through our market stall and online shop.
